A HOST of Halloween-related fun will see homage paid to the American tradition in Wyre Forest next week.
Cookley's Eagle pub, nicknamed "The Cookley Cavern" - after the legendary Liverpool venue - thanks to its burgeoning live music scene, will host a "Halloween spectacular" with a USA theme next Thursday, October 31.
It will see a triple tribute to Stateside greats Frank Sinatra, Jennifer Lopez and The Blues Brothers staged.
But the artists do not have to cross the Atlantic - Sinatra act Ron Newey is making the short journey from Wolverhampton, while Alison Jones is travelling down the M6 from Stoke to perform "The J-Lo Show".
And the Birmingham Blues Brothers will bring the party to a rousing climax.
Before this on Wednesday Kidderminster's Watermill will host the Emergency 999 emergency services workers' annual Halloween party until 11pm when it will move on to the Mirage nightclub.
The club is also letting people in for free if they are wearing Halloween attire on November 1 and 2.
But those of a nervous disposition or who are easily shocked had better avoid the Watermill on Sunday, November 3, when "Europe's top shock show" sets up stall.
Judging by the publicity photographs, which, as a family newspaper the Shuttle/Times & News felt obliged not to reproduce, "Nightmare" is not for the faint hearted!
