A JOB book-keeping was not enough to excite UCW graduate Rachel Pritchard.
She returned to Worcester following eight years in Australia, working behind a desk with a calculator. She had travelled to the Antipodes to rethink her life.
However, Rachel then boomeranged her way back to Worcester once more and started at UCW on a degree course reading English, with art. Switching to an art and design degree specialising in ceramics, she graduated yesterday with a BA (Hons) in art and design with a minor in English.
Rachel is now working for Herefordshire Council as creative industries assistant on a three-year EU funded art programme. It is the first of its kind in the region.
She exercises in her ceramic skills in her spare time and has invested in a shed, wheel and borrowed a kiln.
She hopes to take up a career as a professional ceramic maker in the near future.
