LESSONS at a Worcestershire school will be a bit rocky from now on after a new seaside display was created.
Youngsters from St Mary's First School in Kidderminster pitched in to help build Sunny Cove on wasteland outside their classroom.
Features of the display include a boat called The Seagull, a rock display and an ice-cream kiosk.
"We decided to develop the area and chose the seaside because nine out of the 22 children had never been, so we went to Caswell Bay in Wales," said teacher Wendy Bickley.
"When we got back we asked the children what they wanted to build, so we've got a pier and a promenade which runs along the side of the classroom.
"When we got back the children wrote down all of their memories on the blackboard and we even had a Punch and Judy show.
"They have all really enjoyed the project and there's been an incredible amount of learning in the most enthusiastic way."
