OUR Harvest Festival this year at St Peter's Church took the form of a service of songs of praise. Despite a very wet afternoon and evening there was a good congregation in attendance. The traditional harvest hymns were sung followed by readings, and there were also two musical interludes. The church was beautifully decorated with flowers, fruit and vegetables; there was also donations of many tinned and packet foods which were sent to the Salvation Army in Tewkesbury. The service was conducted by Rev Chris Moss and Edward Lane was the organist. After the service a harvest tea was held in the Village Hall.
The next whist drive will be held in the village hall on Wednesday, November 13 at 8pm.
