The Village Hall and the Friends of St James Church are putting on a winetasting evening in the Village Hall on Friday, November 15, 7.30pm for 8pm, with all proceeds shared.
The event is being presented by Mr Patrick Shave of The Hop Pocket Wine Company at Bishop's Frome and he will be introducing a variety of wines suitable for the Christmas period. There will be a 10 per cent discount on all wines ordered on the night and local delivery can be arranged. Those who attended will remember Mr Shave from when he did a very successful evening at the Orange Grove a few years ago. Tickets, £8, are available now from Yvonne Clayton at the Foster Care Co-operative (Orange Grove, next to the village shop). Ring (01684) 892380 during the daytime for details.
A reminder of the churchyard working party at St James's Church tomorrow (Saturday) between 10am and 2pm. All helper will be very welcome - plenty choice of jobs to be done!
