AN open day is to be held in Earl's Croome to outline plans for a day centre to serve the village, along with Severn Stoke, Ryall, Ripple and surrounding areas.
Age Concern is in the process of establishing several mobile day care centres across the Malvern Hills district, operating once a fortnight at each venue.
Each day centre will offer a hot lunch and the chance to socialise. Minibus transport is available to and from the centres, which are based at village halls, with a basic foot care scheme and mobile hairdresser in a purpose-built caravan.
Anyone who wants to find out more about the programme, or offer help as a volunteer, should attend the open day at Earl's Croome Village Hall, from noon, on Thursday (October 31).
A buffet lunch will be laid on and details of the proposals outlined in a talk. Transport to the event can be arranged on 01684 576655.
