EXPRESS followed up last weeks 4-0 thumping of Malvern Radar with a similar slick display to despatch Martley and record their third 4-0 win of the season.

EXPRESS 88 4, MARTLEY SPURS RESERVES 0

Express opened well and were never troubled at the back, despite four changes to last week's team to ensure squad rotation. Mick Hadley, Jason Jones and Rob Kelly all returned to the starting line up and fitted in well to ensure Express dominated the 90 minutes for the second consecutive week and make it one loss, one draw and two wins in their opening league fixtures.

Express forced Martley's keeper into some superb early saves as Jason Lloyd and Jamie Roberts caused havoc up front, supported well by Neil Bond and Mark Taylor from midfield with Stu Summers, Jem Finch and Hadley starting several plays from the back.

Jason Lloyd began his personal rout on 12 minutes when the visiting keeper spilled Roberts' superb shot to pounce and put Express one up, a lead they could not extend despite even more dominance than they had against Radar last week. Just before half time Lloyd made it 2-0 to Express, following up again to confirm the home side's superiority.

The second period started much the same way with Gary Lloyd being rarely troubled in the Express goal.

Ten minutes into the second half Express manager Phil Smalley made a triple substitution, bringing Barry Evans, Matt Clifford and Andy Bottomley into the fray.

The move worked well as Jason Lloyd continued his fine performance up front with two more goals without reply to make it six in the last three games.

The Express defence were able to have an even quieter week than they enjoyed last week against Radar.

This Sunday Express travel to play Kays Athletico in the league, players meet 9.30am at Express or 10.00am YMCA, Henwick Rd, Worcester.
