I WOULD like to endorse every one of the comments made by Mr Pearson (Your Letters, October 18). I can assure him he is not on his own!
I live in Alexandra Road, where again, many residents do not have the facility to park their vehicles off the road, and where, over recent months, they have suffered from slashed tyres, broken wing mirrors, stolen marque badges, scratched paint work and the latest game, registration plate removal.
This appears to happen mainly late at night and after the pubs have closed. The police are attentive and helpful, but unless the perpetrators are caught in the act, there is little they can do. Taking the law into your own hands is not to be recommended, as a victim, you are more likely to be the one ending up in court. It would seem that the many, ordinary law abiding, tax paying citizens are always going to be at the mercy of the few.
M G JACKSON, Alexandra Road, Malvern.
