MADRESFIELD, playing for the first time this season with a full squad, took an early lead through Gordy Mansell.
BELL INN 5, MADRESFIELD 4
The Bell's Mark Herbert did his usual efficient job in the centre and this more than anything helped the home side to a 2-1 lead.
With Stu Preece and Ty Fisher beginning to get the better of the exchanges for the visitors, a free kick from 30 yards out by Steve Brookes thundered into the top corner to bring the scores level.
The Bell went on to score a further three goals before Mansell got on the score sheet again.
Ben Clarke, Adam Morse, Stu Preece and Ty Fisher where now in full flow and with the Bell on the back foot it was a question of defending the now slender lead. With time running out Madresfield pulled another goal back and then hit the upright but time ran out.
Man of the match was Stu Preece.
