STUDENTS from Malvern Girls' College swept the board at the annual Gloucestershire Classical Association Latin and Greek Reading Competition.
Malvern's Kemi Greene and Helen Parker won the junior duologue, with Cleo Watson and Lottie Bain second and Anisha Patel and Tina Goodwin third.
Hannah Price was first in the intermediate Latin section with Kasmira Jefford third in senior latin and Jane Roberts third in senior Greek.
The competition took place last week at Cheltenham College, where the two adjudicators complimented the Malvern girls on the accuracy of their pronunciation and the way in which they brought the readings to life for the audience.
"It was a very enjoyable afternoon and the girls were well rewarded for the hard work and thought which had gone into their readings", said Anne Dicks, head of classics at the Malvern Girls' College.
