AMBITIOUS Worcester City have put in an increased offer to sign Adam Wilde from Cambridge City.
The St George's Lane club have already had one bid rejected by The Lilywhites but have upped the stakes in an effort to land the player.
City are still awaiting a reply from Cambridge but there was some good news for manager John Barton after the club was able to book David Foy in for a knee operation on Monday.
Paul Carty returns from suspension for tomorrow's derby at Halesowen (3pm) but Leon Jackson is still suspended.
Mark Shail still remains a couple of weeks away from a return but Asa Charlton will have a run-out in the reserves after a groin injury.
Barton is relishing the prospect of a lively encounter at The Grove tomorrow, with the two sides meeting again at St George's Lane on Monday in the Dr Martens Cup.
"The local games always have a little more spice attached to them whatever league you are in," he said.
"Derbies are more attractive to supporters and in years gone by there were a lot more than there are now. They were always keenly contested encounters.
"I'm sure Halesowen will be buoyed by their victory last week -- we just have to make sure we perform like league leaders."
