HEREFORD United's FA Cup preparations have been boosted by the return of captain Ian Wright for tomorrow's fourth qualifying round clash with Arlesey Town (3pm).
The Bulls skipper has made a surprisingly quick return to action after breaking his hand against Northwich Victoria just two weeks ago.
Manager Graham Turner will be hoping for a change in fortunes at Edgar Street with two defeats and a draw in their last three games at the ground.
Despite being overwhelming favourites Turner will be leaving nothing to chance against the Ryman League Division One side and with £20,000 prize money to the winners, said the match is vital for Hereford to win.
"It's a big game and we need to progress," said Turner.
"Financially it will be vital but also it creates interest among the supporters. Arlesey will be a difficult game and we will not be taking it lightly.
Upsets
"You see it so often with cup upsets that if you don't approach it right you can come unstuck.
"We've every right to expect to beat them but we need to put in a similar display to the one against Northampton."
Turner was still seething at the penalty which cost Hereford victory against the Cobblers.
Andy Tretton was penalised for a dubious foul in extra-time which allowed Northampton to win 4-3.
Despite the defeat Turner was able to take some positives out of the game, not least their quality of play.
"I thought we played extremely well and didn't get our just desserts - the penalty decision was diabolical," said Turner.
"The manner in which we played was impressive and the way we came back from two early set backs showed spirit."
Loan signing Chukki Eribenne, who grabbed a brace, is available and Turner has no doubts the goals will be a huge boost.
Confidence
"For goalscorers in particular confidence is a big factor and those goals will have done him the world of good," added Turner.
Matt Clarke is doubtful for the match with a dead leg while Ben Smith will be on the bench after emerging unscathed from a practice match against Studley.
For Arlesey tomorrow's trip will be one of the biggest games in the club's history, second only to their FA Vase triumph in 1995.
Their squad includes the familiar face of former Hereford defender Andy Theodosiou, striker Wayne Cort, whose famous brother Carl plays for Newcastle, ex-Peterborough and Walsall midfielder Scott Houghton and former Stevenage player Neil Trebble.
FORMCAST: Bulls to win 2-0.
