MALVERN Hills Ladies indoor bowlers have won their first three matches this season.
They played Cotswold Ladies winning by 106 shots to 84 shots with Myrtle Hart and her team achieving a top score of 36-4 shots.
Against Banbury Bowls Club the score was 140 shots for Malvern and 106 shots for Banbury with Gill Lloyd's team getting star billing with a score of 32 to 9. Finally, the club finished with a hat trick by beating Bristol County & City Club 151- 92 shots. This time it was Joan Birchley's team that was in the lime light with a score of 34 shots to 14 shots.
Malvern Hills mixed teams have played matches against Solihull Bowls Club, Bromsgrove Bowls Club and Dowty Rotol Bowls Club and, though the games have been closely fought, no mixed matches have been won by Malvern.
There have been good wins by individual teams notably in the match against Bromsgrove when the team of Cyril Ware, Horace Deakin, Harold Graty and Don Sumner won their rink by 25-7 shots. In the Dowty Rotol game Malvern lost by just four shots overall.
The next ladies match is against Mid-Glos BC on Friday, November 1 at 2pm and the next mixed match is against Welford-on-Avon BC on Saturday, November 2 at 2.30pm. All these will be at Manor Park and spectators are welcome.
