WORLD champion Anna Bailey (Old Wrecks) of Hanley Swan had recovered sufficiently from last week's lower back strain to row in the first of the Grand Prix series of races on Sunday at the South of England Indoor Rowing Championships held at Portsmouth's Mountbatten Centre.
She not only took gold in the Women's 50-59 class in 7.07.6, but also producing the overall fastest women's time of the day and set a new Grand Prix record exactly one second outside her own World record time.
