THE owner of a Malvern business collected an award for his management skills at his graduation ceremony.
Robert Aynsworth decided to enrol at UCW to benefit from a broader understanding of management.
He runs Domain Solutions in Malvern and develops specialist computer software.
As well as receiving a Certificate in Management Studies he was rewarded with the Bosch Thermotechnik prize for being one of the outstanding students.
"Like most people I feel I have the skills to do the job I love, but that doesn't make you a manager by right," said Mr Aynsworth.
"I've really enjoyed the course and would recommend it to anyone.
"It's helped me to question my attitudes to how I run the business and the attitudes I adopt to people I work with and for. It's a thought provoking course and I'm happy, but slightly shocked, that I have won this prize."
Mr Aynsworth was tempted to sign up to another course, but feels he has different priorities. "I enjoyed every minute of the course, the lecturers were excellent and the course was exactly what I hoped for," he said.
"But this year I'll spend my evenings with my youngster rather than out studying - even if that will be more demanding."
