WORCESTERSHIRE'S County Championship Division Two clash with Durham ended in a drab draw after another rain-affected day at Chester-le-Street.
After rain delayed the start until 3pm, Allan Donald did his best to force the issue by capturing 5-77 as the home side were dismissed for 243, giving Worcestershire a first-innings lead of seven.
However, Worcestershire could do nothing more than bat out the remainder of the day as they struggled to 60 for five in their second innings.
Like Donald, Neil Killeen came out with particular credit by grabbing four second-innings wickets for 26 runs.
Heavy rain meant that only nine-and-a-half overs were bowled on Friday at the Riverside leaving a draw almost inevitable.
Durham resumed on 206 for five in reply to Worcestershire's first innings 250. Danny Law was unbeaten on 37 and spinner Graeme Bridge yet to score.
Just one run was added to the overnight total before Bridge was removed for a duck having been bowled by off-spinner Gareth Batty.
Law went on to steadily take his total from 34 to 68 - which he took 174 balls to reach - biding his time to hit nine boundaries and before driving a Batty delivery straight to Phil Weston at mid-on.
Openers Vikram Solanki and Anurag Singh walked out for Worcestershire to face a barrage from Killeen.
He tore into the visitors' batting card with surprising ease. Solanki (17) and Singh (16) were both bowled while skipper Graeme Hick fell for a duck in between.
Killeen's fourth wicket to remove Ben Smith for 14 was almost identical with Symington again showing safe hands at slip. Law picked up the other wicket, trapping David Leatherdale lbw for nine.
