MIKE Spragg and Paul Bick are neck and neck after three rounds of Malvern Angling Club's spring league with both anglers top with nine points each.
There are two rounds to go in the competition and it couldn't be closer with Alan Lancett in second place on eight points and Steve Davies third with seven points.
Paul Bick took the second round with a nice bag of carp from peg 20, using long pole with luncheon meat he weighed in 18lb 15oz. Dave Twigg was second taking 3lb 4oz from peg 4 with Alan Lancett third with 1lb 6oz from peg 3.
The third round saw Alan Lancett take the honours with 10lb 12oz of carp and roach from peg 9 using pole and meat. Mike Spragg was second with 6lb 3oz of carp from peg 15 using pole and sweet corn with John Barr third with 1lb 3oz from peg 23.
There will be a bank clearing session on the club's River Severn waters at Hanley Castle on Sunday morning (May 26) starting at 9am.
