ORRELL'S Scott Barrow has lit the touchpaper for Saturday's potentially explosive promotion shootout at Sixways by declaring: "We're coming to stop you."
The centre returns to Worcester Rugby Club for the first time since his summer Sixways departure with an Orrell side flying high at the top of the National One table following their 70-23 weekend win over Rugby Lions.
And former St Helens Rugby League star Barrow is desperate to prove a point after a frustrating final season at Sixways.
"I'm hoping to make an impact and stop Worcester," he said. "I'm looking forward to the game, as are all the Orrell lads, and it's one we believe we can do well in. Worcester are obviously a good side but we are coming to Sixways to win - that has to be the approach."
Barrow decided to join ambitious Orrell after helping them to promotion during a loan spell last season.
He fell down the centre pecking order at Worcester last year, and is looking forward to a fresh start under Australian coach Ross Reynolds.
"I'm really enjoying things at Orrell," added Barrow. "We are looking for a top six finish this season but I think we've got one of the smaller squads in the division so I think it will, once again, be Worcester and Rotherham for promotion.
"I didn't leave Worcester on bad terms, it was just one of those things. Orrell is much closer to home for me and they are a very ambitious club."
Worcester make a number of changes from the side which beat Coventry 29-23 in the league opener.
Mark Gabey will make his debut in place of Dan Zaltzman at lock while Craig Hudson takes over from Nnamdi Ezulike on the wing. David Officer makes his debut at centre because of Gary Trueman's illness and fly half Craig Chalmers returns to the starting line-up because of James Brown's back injury.
Tony Windo is back at loose-head, Adrian Olver moves to tight-head and Chris Pearson continues at hooker against the club he left in the summer.
"It should be a great game for the supporters," said Worcester's director of rugby Brain. "We see them as a grade one side - a team on a par with Exeter or Rotherham.
"Orrell will be coming to Sixways for victory. It will be a stiff test for them though."
Worcester: Roke; Garrard, Hinshelwood, Officer, Hudson, Chalmers, Swanepoel; Windo, Pearson, Olver, Gabey, Morgan, Evans, Pfister, Jenner.
