A WORCESTER sandwich shop is celebrating after being presented with a prestigious award.
Donna Hollinshead, aged 29, started running Paisleys Sandwich Bar in Trinity Street in April this year, after taking over from her father, Barry.
Environmental officers were so impressed by the hygienic facilities and the healthy menu on a recent visit that they put the shop forward for a "Heart Beat" award.
Miss Hollinshead, who has no previous experience in this field, received her certificate last week.
"I'm really happy about it," she said. "As far as I know, we're the only sandwich shop in Worcester that's got this certificate.
"We've put a lot of work in to give customers what they want, providing them with healthy options."
