BROMSGROVE Rovers have snapped up Paul Danks from Dr Martens rivals Redditch United.
Joint manager Gary Hackett believes the 22-year-old striker will become a firm favourite with the Victoria Ground fans.
"Paul is very exciting to watch, has got a great attitude, is quick and can score goals," said Hackett.
"He didn't finish off the season particularly well at Redditch but I saw enough in my brief time there to know he can become a crowd favourite at Rovers and I rate him highly."
Rovers bid to sign former Worcester City striker Carl Tranter from Bridgnorth Town has collapsed after he decided to stay at the Shropshire club.
Meanwhile Premiership newcomers West Brom-wich Albion kick off preparations for their return to the top flight with a pre-season friendly at Rovers on Saturday, July 20 (3pm).
Gary Megson's side is set to feature up to 10 first teamers for the match. Bromsgrove are also due to play Nationwide Conference side Hereford United on Tuesday, July 30 (7.45).
