BROMSGROVE Rovers boss Steve Daniels is hoping to tie ex-Worcester City striker Sam Bowen to a permanent deal ahead of their FA Cup preliminary round tie at Blackstone tomorrow (3pm).

Bowen has struck five goals in three games and with Michael Moore (ankle) struggling for fitness could be a shrewd piece of business for Daniels.

"Finances are tight and we have to make every penny count and the players we sign have to be good enough which is why Sam Bowen would be a great signing for us," said Daniels.

"We are talking to him and hopefully we can persuade him to put pen to paper."

Rovers will go into the game at Stamford-based United Counties League side Blackstone without defender Sam Campagna (ankle) out for three weeks.

Morgan Brookes (groin) and Les Palmer (knee) are doubtful but Frazer McHugh has trained after missing Monday's 3-2 victory at Studley BKL.

Daniels revealed he plans to sign a defender over the weekend in time for Tuesday's Midland Alliance clash at Shifnal Town.
