FORMER Worcester City striker Sam Bowen has joined Bromsgrove Rovers and should make his debut at Halesowen Harriers in the Midland Alliance tonight (7.45).
The arrival of Bowen, who also had a spell with Evesham, is a boost for Rovers boss Steve Daniels, after Steve Hillman and Steve Frost joined Bilston and Redditch respectively.
Daniels admitted it was a blow losing players but said Hillman had not performed. "You don't want to lose good players but we haven't seen the best of Steve," he said.
"We have a major problem because we can't sign players on contract and although chairman Tom Herbert is doing his best, it means other clubs can pinch our players."
Daniels plans more signings after defensive frailties were again exposed as they came from behind against Knypersley for a 3-2 win.
"Getting goals is OK but we gave two goals and they missed a penalty so we need to tighten up," said Daniels.
