REDS hero Paul Danks has committed himself to the club despite being offered non-contract terms next season.
The United leading scorer has had talks with manager Rod Brown and chairman Neil Pagett and the Redditch manager says his star striker will start the season at the Valley.
Western Division champions Halesowen Town tabled two offers for the proven scorer before deadline day and appear to be the biggest threat to the forward's Redditch future.
But Brown is already busy reconstructing a United squad whose 2-0 loss to high-flying rivals Solihull Borough at the weekend saw them finish fourth from bottom.
The Valley boss has already spoken to four targets who he refused to name and was set to meet two more last night and another pair tonight (Wednesday).
He has a 'hit list' of nine players and is hoping to bring in at least seven for pre-season.
The club has secured a three year deal with sportswear company Admiral to provide kit and training gear for three years and has plans to secure use of an astro turf pitch for training every week and expanded gym facilities at the ground.
