STEVE Taylor has left Bromsgrove Rovers by mutual consent.
Taylor, a key part of Rovers' promotion from the Midland Alliance last season, has found it hard to hold down a regular first team place at the Victoria Ground and has gone in search of first team football.
Joint manager Gary Hackett said: "He's been a tremendous servant for the club and he leaves with our best wishes."
Jon Ford added: "We are a bit sad to see him go but he wants to play first team football."
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Matt Lowe is back playing with the club.
Lowe has taken some time out but his registration has always been at the Victoria Ground.
Rovers are still free to sign players despite the introduction of UEFA's transfer window.
The rule currently will only affect Rovers' three players under contract.
