"We want to keep everything on an even keel and support Rod Brown and the players in their efforts to move us up the table.

"I told the players on saturday I have every confidence in them because they have certainly got the skill and the ability.

"The commitment from us is there but I will not make promises we will be a Premier Division side in 18 months, especially with a restructuring due.

"I need to ensure we stay on a sound footing and I see Rod Brown and Gary Whild building a team to challenge for the title next season.

"Rod Brown has told me the Valley Stadium will become a fortress next season.
