ALL the classrooms at the new Bridley Moor Secondary Modern School have now been completed and fitted and will be ready for use when the school opens next Thursday.
Mr WA Sharpe, clerk to the Redditch District Education Committee, told a reporter that the main school buildings were finished and that the only parts still to be completed were the boys' and girls' changing rooms and the boiler room.
The school will accommodate 520 children aged between 11-15 and is expected to relieve to a certain extent accommodation problems at other schools in the town.
The school was originally due to open in September last year but progress on the construction was slowed down by acute shortage of labour.
