When Redditch Urban District Council meets next month it will be advised for the second time by its Parks and Open Spaces Committee not to allow the use of the Valley Stadium - the home of Redditch Town FC - for greyhound racing.
The committee had before them for consideration letters from the Redditch Christian Council asking the committee not to support the proposal on the grounds such a project would have harmful influence on the life of the town.
At a previous meeting of the full council a similar recommendation was sent back to the committee for further consideration.
The man who wants to bring a greyhound track to the town is Mr G Clarke, of Easemore Lane.
He has already applied for planning permission and believes the proposed site could be developed into a home for all types of athletics and field meetings.
