REDS powerhouse Richard Field is the subject of a seven day approach from Dr Martens Premier outfit Hinckley United.
Field, who equalised in Saturday's 1-1 draw against Clevedon, is set to talk to Knitters boss Dean Thomas about joining last season's champions.
Keeper Harvey Willetts could again be missing for the marathon trek to face Gateshead in the FA Trophy on Saturday (ko 3pm).
The first choice shot-stopper was a surprise absentee for the 1-1 weekend draw.
And Reds manager Nicky Cross says the work commitments which ruled him out for their last match could again be a problem with United hoping for a good run in the Trophy.
But Cross will have been boosted by a promising display from reserve keeper Matt Jones at the weekend which saw the former Solihull keeper pull off a string of good blocks.
Captain Nigel Niblett, another omission at the weekend, is again doubtful after a bizarre illness.
The skipper was treated in hospital after being bitten on the arm by an insect and seeing the arm swell dramatically.
Injury-hit defender Paul West is a familiar absentee with knee and ankle problems and was this week set to see the Cambridge specialist who operated on the same knee when he suffered the injury which eventually ended his professional career.
Former West Brom ace Cross recalled himself to the starting eleven at the weekend for the first time in five weeks but jarred a long-standing knee problem.
After a relatively lucrative run in the FA Cup, Redditch chairman Rod Laight will be pinning his hopes on a good run in the Trophy despite a nightmare draw which would see them probably playing at Hednesford, who face RC Warwick, in the second round if they win at the weekend.
To beat Gateshead Redditch will have to reverse a disappointing away record which has seen them win only twice on the road this season and continued with a 4-0 loss to Chippenham last week.
United have been drawn at home to neighbours and arch rivals Solihull Borough in the Worcestershire Senior Cup on Tuesday, November 20.
