I HAVE been roundly criticised on the thisisrufc website for not supporting Redditch United enough and being too negative in my reports.
This week a source at Redditch United, said it was my job as a local journalist to be biased towards the club.
I was told I should write reports telling you the public about the fantastic football United are playing whether I believe that or not and indeed whether I am at the match or not.
I was also told it was my duty to bring more fans through the gates by such coverage.
I endeavour to write what I see and always write reports from the Redditch United angle.
In that sense I am biased towards the club and, along with all the fans, want to see United set the league alight and enjoy some success.
But I believe it's my role to be unbiased in covering what happens on the pitch and how United perform for the sake of fans not at the game.
I accept I may be wrong and invite players, officials and fans of Redditch United, Studley, Feckenham and Alvechurch to write to me or e-mail me with your thoughts.
Should I be biased towards the club? And, are Redditch, as I was told several fans believe, playing their best football for years at the moment?
