DEFENDER Scott Stamps is in contention for a place in Kidderminster Harriers line-up for tonight's Nationwide League Division Three clash against struggling Swansea City at Vetch Field (7.45).

He has missed Harriers' last three matches because of a back injury which he suffered in the recent 3-2 win over Shrewsbury Town at Gay Meadow.

Utility player Adie Smith, however, is still sidelined with hamstring trouble while midfielder Danny Williams is expected to be fit after suffering a dead leg in Saturday's 2-1 home victory against Cambridge United.

Harriers' manager Ian Britton, meanwhile, is urging his side to be on their guard against the Swans who are currently third from bottom in the table.

He said: "I'll remind the players of what happened against Macclesfield. We had enjoyed a good result against Hull and then we let ourselves down.

"We through we could just turn up and win. If we don't get it right from an attitude point of view we will come unstuck. Swansea are fighting for their lives.

"We haven't played league leaders Hartlepool yet, but I haven't seen anybody better than us. But having said that, it's early days. The question is whether the players can carry on with the form they have shown so far. I think they can."

One Harriers player desperately keen to get on the scoresheet tonight is front-runner Drewe Broughton, whose untiring efforts in 15 appearances so far this season have not been rewarded with a goal.

The 24-year-old former Peterborough United campaigner said: "I can't put my finger on why I'm not hitting the back of the net, especially as I was scoring for fun in pre-season.

"Two goals disallowed and one scored against Reading, plus the two against Cheltenham, set me up well for the season ahead. I was really encouraged, as the goals had come against higher opposition.

"I should have scored twice in the first two league games and everyone would then have been singing my praises.

"It's so annoying as I think my finishing is good in training and I work really hard to become technically better at it."

FORMCAST: Harriers to win 2-1.
