Stamps started with Torquay United despite being brought up in Birmingham and his obvious talent earned him a £10,000 move to Colchester United in 1997.
The left-footer moved to Harriers on a free in September 1999 after playing in the Second Division and his consistency at left-back has played a major part in their achievements.
Injuries have restricted his appearances at times but he will never shirk a tackle and has held off the strong challenge of deputy Ian Joy.
