Kenilworth Wardens 1, Littleton 7

LITTLETON followed up an excellent victory in midweek in the Worcester-shire Junior Cup with an easy win in the league at Kenilworth Wardens on Saturday.

Last Tuesday, they travelled to Dudley Sports, third in Division One, and came away with a 4-1 win.

Goals from Billy Hiden (2), Curtis Major and Nick Burrows put them 4-0 ahead by the 65th minute and a late consolation goal through a penalty was Dudley's only reply.

On Saturday Littleton romped to a 7-1 victory against Kenilworth Wardens being 5-0 up at half-time.

They could have taken the lead in the first minute when a Darren Reeves shot was charged down and his follow up shot went just wide.

However, the first goal was not long delayed. A cross from the right was dummied by Matthew Edwards and acting captain Mark Gledhill was on hand to convert.

Two minutes later it was 2-0. An Edwards free-kick proved too hot for the keeper to hold and Stuart Sollis was quickest to react hammering home from six yards.

Then a move between Edwards and Reeves opened the way for Nick Burrows to score. Still the goals kept coming, next it was Reeves whose first shot was blocked, but he made no mistake from the rebound.

The nap hand was completed in the 38th minute. Burrows charged the ball down, it fell to Hiden who scored from close- range.

Kenilworth improved in the second half as Littleton relaxed and it came as no surprise when they scored. Adam Moss made a super save before Alan Parker drove home in fine style.

Littleton scored two goals in the final 15 minutes both by Chris Bate. Firstly, he sidestepped the keeper and stroked home. Then, receiving from a deep cross, he hit a super volley from 20 yards.

This Saturday Littleton have a tough game at Halfords (2pm) at Studley's BKL.
