DEAR EDITOR - I write in regard to the article in last week's Advertiser/Messenger 'Cat Dies After Being Shot By Pete Lammas'.
Myself and my family are absolutely appalled at the behaviour of Mr Lammas in carrying out such a cruel and evil act on a poor defenseless cat.
How would Mr Lammas feel if someone were to shoot his cat? That would give him something to think about.
I think Mr Lammas should have his gun taken off him immediately before any other cats in Bromsgrove suffer similar fates.

z Point taken. Several other readers have also taken Pete to task over this, but he is totally innocent. Unfortunately his by-line was in the wrong spot and may have amused a few! However, we should not lose sight that this was a story about an extremely cruel act by some thoughtless, uncaring person. If anyone has information about the shooting of the pet cat they are asked to contact their local police station. EDITOR
