WOODRUSH came up with the goods in a 55-5 hammering of neighbours Five Ways Old Edwardians at the weekend.
Paul Moore's side steamrollered the league whipping boys to leave their opponents anchored to the foot of the Powergen North Midlands One table.
And the result will buoy the Old Icknield Street side ahead of their considerably tougher assignment at Solihull on Saturday (ko 3pm).
May had said there was no pressure on his team to match everyone else's feats in putting 50 past the hapless visitors but the result will put his club's points difference on a par with the teams around them in the table.
A win at the weekend will see Woodrush catch up with Solihull and although, Moore has said his side will not win the title, the club could find themselves in the top half of the table after two successive relegations.
