A GIRLS football team from Droitwich Spa has failed to reach a showpiece match at Villa Park after losing in the quarter-finals of the Coca Cola National Schools Cup county stage.
The 11-a-side team, who defeated three teams to reach the last eight, lost 6-2 to Birmingham's Cockshut Hill School earlier this month with goals from Sam Mills and Liz Seabourne.
Had the team won the county cup, they would have competed for the chance to play at Aston Villa Football Club.
