Harriers faced a tall order in finding an equaliser in what had been a tight game so far.
Their chances suffered a further blow on 25 minutes when midfielder Parrish came off with a hamstring strain though the home side had an able deputy in Williams.
Orient goalscorer Ibehre nearly put a few smiles on Harriers faces on 35 minutes when he met Melligan's left wing free-kick with his head but the ball rolled straight to grateful keeper Barrett.

The Orient centre-back misjudged the huge kick and midfielder Bennett read the situation perfectly to head the ball over the advancing keeper from the edge of the area.
Orient were reduced to 10 men a minute before half-time when Tate caught Bennett with a late challenge.
Referee Walton initially showed a yellow card but had obviously made a mistake as he then quickly held up a red.

Seconds later in today's match Ayres drilled a low shot just wide of the post as Harriers searched for a second goal.
