A TEENAGE girl who had been celebrating Christmas at a Worcester nightclub was attacked on her way home.
Worcester police say she was assaulted in Cripplegate Park, close to the Bamboo nightclub, around 2.30am today.
The park in St John's has been sealed off near the children's playground on the New Road side for further investigations.
Two police cars were stationed at opposite ends of the park, with police officers patrolling outside.
The girl has yet to be interviewed and police have not yet released details of her injuries. Ambulance crews were not called to the scene.
n A man was beaten around the head in a park assault in October this year as he left the Bamboo nightclub.
Another man was assaulted in the park in September 2001 and a group of girls fell victim to a "transvestite" in the park in December that year.
