CHRISTMAS services at Holy Trinity Bosbury began on Sunday when over 100 people attended the service of readings and carols.
The service, conducted by Nicky Seabright began with Hodie from the Ceremony of Carols beautifully sung by Caroline and Felicity Ardrey and Anne Kaye. During the evening the choir, conducted by Esther Kaye, sang the Nativity Carol and Jesus Christ the Apple Tree. Nigel Hancock's accomplished playing on the organ ensured that both choir and congregation enjoyed this festive musical start to their celebrations. The mulled wine and mince pies served at the end of the service were much appreciated.
Tomorrow (Saturday) the Bosbury Big Breakfast takes place at the parish hall from 8.30am to 2pm. Last year over 150 breakfasts were served and it proved an ideal opportunity to meet with friends and neighbours. This year the proceeds are for parish hall funds.
As the Jubilee year draws to its close our weekend of celebrations in June will be remembered at a special church service. On Sunday at 10am at Holy Trinity Bosbury the parishes of Ashperton, Canon Frome, Munsley and Stretton Grandison join us for a hop churches communion service. During this service Jubilee crown coins will be presented to all the Bosbury young people who registered their names during the summer. The Reverend Sue Strutt will also be dedicating the book of remembrance now installed.
