THE elderly residents of the Hastings residential care home in Barnards Green will be entertained by a young operatic group on Thursday, January 16.
As part of a tour around homes for the elderly, young members of the Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Youth Section will bring their cabaret group to Malvern.
Dates this month have included St Mary's Hall, Worcester, Barbourne, Kempsey and Warndon.
The group is performing songs from the shows including renditions from Half a Sixpence, Cabaret, Me and My Girl, Les Miserables and Grease.
Producing the cabaret for the first time are Andrew Skelton and Kimberley Kainey, both former WODYS and well known for their performances in numerous shows.
"There are solo songs for both girls and boys, as well as some rip-roaring chorus numbers. We intend to get the audiences involved in some singing, and hope that both the audience and cast will have a good time," said Andrew.
