RANGERS were able to welcome back skipper Mark Tipton, Steve Hodges and Mark Lines after lengthy injuries for this Division One (South) fixture at Victoria Park.

MALVERN RANGERS 0, BRIDGNORTH TOWN RES 3

This was tempered by the news that Sean Lynch will be out until the end of February with knee problems, Carl Preece was injured in a Sunday League game and Richard Forde is going into the Army sooner than anticipated and is no longer available.

When substitute Simon Barnett came on in the second half he became the 34th player used by Rangers this season.

The visitors started brightly and opened the scoring after 14 minutes when a cross from the left wing was probably helped into the net by Mark Lines as he attempted to clear.

After 34 minutes a free kick for Rangers was won by the visitors and they broke quickly for Richard Thomas to score with ease.

Bridgnorth grabbed their third after 43 minutes when another Rangers' free kick was collected by Bridgnorth who broke away for Craig Jones to net inside the area.

Simon Brookes forced the visiting keeper into a good save but home keeper and man of the match Sanders also made a couple of excellent saves.

Tomorrow (Saturday) Rangers, sponsored by Willie Thornes Snooker Club, travel to Leominster Town in what is a real six-pointer with Rangers bottom and the home side third from bottom. Kick-off is at 2.45pm, players meet Brooklyn Motors 12.45pm.
