People of Malvern - You are missing a great opportunity.
The DLO, North Site is about to go up for sale for housing but how many of you are aware that there are three very useful buildings there which would be demolished.
These are clustered together near a road entrance. They are fully double glazed, centrally heated and I believe their roofs are still under guarantee. Each block has eight to ten spurs and has been well maintained. The grounds around them are pleasantly landscaped and have lovely views of the hills.
I would like to see Malvern hospital moved to here and perhaps the council in one of the blocks.
Either I would suggest we, the people of Malvern, attempt to fund raise for buying this area at a price for the land around it considering the buildings would have been demolished for building houses, or an attempt is made to get an agreement with the builder to let this area to Malvern Hospital which could then sublet the rest of the property they do not need.
If the present hospital and other allocated land was sold surely this would go a long way to paying the bill?
If any one is prepared to start fundraising so we can keep this area, I myself will put in the first £100. We just cannot let such an opportunity slip through our hands. It is an ideal spot, there are bus services and parking should be reasonable. Who is willing to help?
