LOCAL hunts are inviting people who are cynical about hunting to attend a meet and see what it involves.
The second reading of the Hunting Bill in the House of Commons on Tuesday, December 17, upset the hunting community, and activists want people to witness the facts about hunting before condemning it.
Clare Rowson, regional director of the Countryside Alliance, said: "We want people to make a decision based on evidence. People make decisions based on prejudice, not on animal welfare grounds and fact.
"We would welcome anyone who would like to see the reality, rather than the propaganda about hunting.
"If people don't like what they see than at least they can go away having made an informed decision."
People who want to find out more about hunting, or would like to go to a meet should phone the Countryside Alliance regional helpline on 01531 636801.
