FORMER Aggborough favourite Richard Forsyth has finished his loan spell at Cheltenham Town but boss Graham Allner wants him permanently.
The 32-year-old midfielder, out of contract at the end of the season, was recalled by Peterborough United who now want to keep the player.
Forsyth, who won the Conference in 1994 during a sparkling spell with Harriers, scored one goal in six starts during his loan spell with the Division Two club.
A Cheltenham spokesman said: "Graham still wants to sign him.
"He came here on loan with a view to a permanent free transfer but Peterborough now say they don't want him to leave.
"We're seeing if there is any possibility of him coming here but it depends whether Peterborough will let him go."
