AN INFLUX of new faces will be joining the Stourport Swifts ranks for Saturday's Dr Martens Western Division trip to Clevedon Town.

The crucial newcomers are first-time manager Dave Titterton, named as Tim Langford's replacement, and his assistant Kevin Sweeney.

But Swifts will also have a French revolution with the additions of strikers El Hadj Malick Sall, brother of Kidderminster Harriers' Abdou, and Alexis Jerome Vilocy.

The duo were training with Swifts before Langford's departure after being brought along by friend Parfait Medou-Otye.

Former Coventry, Hereford and Wycombe defender Titterton has arrived from Ludlow Town where he was assistant boss.

Joining him is Sweeney from Alliance leaguers Oldbury United, while Langford's right-hand man Jan Mulders will remain at Swifts as a player.

Titterton, 31, said: "I'm overjoyed at getting the job and am ready to crack on.

"I played at Swifts for a couple of seasons and had a good relationship with everyone there.

"The club's got a great set-up and I've told the lads that the slate has been wiped clean. I'm not concerned about how they have performed previously.

"We will do things my way, the right way and in a professional manner.

"I wouldn't have taken the job without Kevin. He's a loyal bloke, a great coach and a winner."

Swifts chairman Chris Reynolds said: "I have known Dave for a few years and he knows the non-league scene very well.

"He has a passion for the club and for football and I feel will be very capable as a manager.

"Dave has the contacts to bring players in though it's up to him to decide which current players should stay and who will go.

"He comes over very well which is sometimes half-the-battle. If you can make yourself understood, you can motivate people."

Titterton, formerly a number two at Racing Club Warwick, has registered as a player but is not likely to play due to knee problems.

Rob Clarke returns from suspension at Clevedon to be joined by Vilocy, formerly on Oldham's books, and Sall in the squad.

Defender Steve Ulfig looks set to turn down an approach from Rushall Olympic.
