I HAVE just read Bill Davison's reply to my earlier letter. He is obviously a Sainsbury's shopper.
It is obvious that St John's needs a supermarket. I still think the Tesco plan is the best - after all, some traffic could enter from Bromwich Road.
As a matter of interest, I wonder why the council has failed to point applicants in the direction of a site much in need of renovation, namely the old fruit market in Hylton Road?
