THE Territorial Army has launched an officer recruitment campaign to attract the hottest young talent in Worcestershire.
The TA - which is based in Silver Street, Worcester - is seeking new recruits, between the ages of 17 and 35, to boost the number of Young Officers in the reserve force.
As a paid volunteer force, officers are trained to the standards of the regular Army and taught to excel in communication, leadership and teamwork.
Young Officers will also be directly responsible for a group of soldiers, giving them the opportunity to socialise in both civilian and army life.
"These skills can be transferred to their careers outside the TA," Captain Douggie Forrest, of C Company, in Kidderminster, said.
"Many employers spend thousands of pounds to train and develop young staff. The TA, however, offers this for free."
