EVESHAM United manager Phil Mullen is out to increase Stourport Swifts' festive misery when they arrive at Common Road tomorrow (11.30).

Swifts have suffered a three-match losing streak which has plunged them back into relegation danger in the Dr Martens Western Division.

Mullen, who welcomes back striker Shaun Pratt from suspension but will be without defenders Paul West and Matt Gardiner, has had his fair share of relegation scraps and is expecting a no-holds barred battle tomorrow against one of his former clubs.

"I know what they are all about - I've been down in that position in the past during my early days at Redditch," said Mullen.

"Swifts will be scrapping for everything and will put up a good fight.

"I've seen them on a number of occasions and they have been unfortunate in losing games recently but it is fragile when you are down at the bottom.

"I don't think they'll have any problems staying up but I hope they have a few problems against us."

Stourport manager Dave Titterton remains upbeat and has seen a change in attitude at the Walshes Meadow club since he took over.

"People were expecting to come and beat Swifts but now our lads have the expectancy to win - that is how far we've come in 10 games," he said.

"Now we have to take it on, put the defeats at Redditch and Weston-super-Mare behind us, and starting winning again."

Swifts will be without John Shirley (medial ligament strain) and Kerry Giddings who is on holiday.

Evesham's three-match winning run came to an end with a 2-1 defeat at home to Taunton Town on Saturday with Mullen blaming poor finishing.

"I don't think we were firing on all cylinders but we had enough chances to win eight games," he said.
