PLANS to turn the cottage next to a Worcester pub into guestrooms look set to be refused.
The Laurel Pub Partnerships has applied for permission to change the use of the building next to the Mount Pleasant pub on London Road.
The proposals for the cottage include two guestrooms on the ground floor and a self-contained bedsit on the first floor.
A number of planning applications for the site, including demolition as well as changes of use, have already been blocked and it is currently lying vacant.
The new plans will be discussed at a meeting of the planning committee on Thursday, January 9.
But in a report to members, the director of development services, Stuart McNidder, recommends that they refuse the application.
His concerns include possible noise and disturbance to anyone living in a flat above guestrooms. He also states that there is already a shortage of parking spaces at the pub and the change of use would require a further three.
