MARTIAL ARTS: Comeback kid Brandon Norris is celebrating earning a black belt at his martial arts club, just a year after surviving a horrific accident.

The young kick-boxer escaped with cuts, bruises and grazes after a road accident close to his Wilden Top home in August 2001.

Norris stunned hospital staff by not suffering even a single broken bone.

And the resilient competitor, who trains at the Eclipse club in Stourport, has added to the family pride for the new year.

Lickhill Middle School pupil Norris, nine, has clinched a British Freestyle Kickboxing Federation black belt.

His instructor Will Jennings declared: "I didn't think I would see him again at the club after the accident but he's come bouncing back.

"He's just a very strong lad, a fantastic little student. I just wish everyone was like him as he always gives 100 per cent.

"He's gone through the grades from white belt and has been brilliant."
