TRAMPOLINING: Talented gymnast Dominic Porter has been left "stunned" after becoming a national champion.
Porter's mother Lynn watched her son lift the U-11s boys trophy in London after a tremendous display.
She said: "His performance was outstanding. It's been a very good season for Dominic, culminating in the nationals at the end.
"He's stunned. His coach Paul Coates expected him to do well but on the day he performed in front of 700 people.
"It's a big achievement for a 10-year-old and he was last on in his event which adds to the pressure."
The Knoll School pupil also held onto his Herefordshire and Worcestershire Schools Championship title in Redditch for the third year in a row.
Porter, who qualified for the nationals three times, trains at the Ultimate Trampoline Club in Cradley Heath.
The Kidderminster school were also celebrating after their girls team took second place at the County Championships.
